Early beta transparency

This first beta build is not yet code-signed.

Windows may show an unrecognized app warning during installation. Only install this beta if you intentionally obtained it from the official AIGIS beta release page after being approved, and verified the checksum listed below.

After the beta period, AIGIS plans to move toward signed Windows builds and signed and notarized macOS builds before broader public distribution.

GitHub hosting improves release transparency, but it does not replace code signing. The first beta remains an unsigned beta.

AIGIS plans to move post-beta builds toward signed Windows distribution and signed and notarized macOS distribution. This page will show signature status, version, checksum, release notes, and release source for each build.

Verify before installing

AIGIS provides version details and checksums so beta testers can confirm the file they downloaded matches the file published in the official release.

Confirm the source

Only obtain AIGIS Workbench from the official AIGIS beta release page you were granted access to. Do not install files shared through chat, re-uploaded links, or unofficial mirrors.

Confirm the file name matches the version shown here and on the release.

Verify the SHA-256 checksum

A checksum is a fingerprint of the file. In Windows PowerShell, change into the folder where you saved the installer and run the command below — it prints a 64-character hash.

Compare that output to the SHA-256 shown in the checksum panel (use Copy hash to grab it). Every character must match exactly. If it matches, the file is authentic and complete. If it does not, delete the file and do not install it.

Expect an unsigned beta warning

Because this first beta is unsigned, Windows may show an unrecognized app warning. That warning is expected for this beta. Do not proceed unless you intentionally obtained the file from AIGIS and verified the checksum.

What this beta is for.

This beta validates the AIGIS Workbench product flow: lane-based AI-assisted engineering, structured patch execution, validation discipline, receipts, and operator-visible run status.

Lane-based AI development

Intended to validate lane-based, AI-assisted engineering where work moves through a clear, governed path instead of ad-hoc prompting.

Batch Process Mode

Intended to validate structured, repeatable patch execution across batched work with visible run status.

Receipts and validation posture

Intended to validate receipts and validation discipline so changes are traceable and reviewable.

AIGIS engineering discipline

Intended to validate the calm, governed engineering posture the AIGIS platform is built around.

What to expect from this beta.

Unsigned Windows build. This first beta is not code-signed. Windows may show an unrecognized app warning.
Windows-first distribution. Only a Windows x64 build is distributed today. Mac is planned after the signing and notarization path is ready.
Manual updates. Updates are manual during beta. There is no automatic update flow yet.
Beta behavior. Features are incomplete, may be unstable, and are subject to change between builds.
No production guarantee. This beta is for testing and feedback, not for critical production use.

Obtain the installer
After approval, obtain the installer from the official beta release page.

Run the installer
Start the installer from the verified file.
Handle the unsigned beta warning
If Windows shows an unsigned beta warning, confirm the source and checksum match before continuing.
Launch AIGIS Workbench
Open the application once installation completes.
Submit feedback or issues
Report through the beta feedback link or GitHub Issues.

Uninstall

Uninstall from Windows Settings > Installed apps. Future builds may change storage paths, settings, or update behavior.

How do I get into the closed beta?

The beta is currently invite-only. Submit the beta-access form with your GitHub username. We add approved testers to the private beta release repository, and you accept a GitHub email invite. Public downloads open in a later phase.

Why is the first beta unsigned?

Code signing and notarization are part of the post-beta roadmap. To get the product into testers' hands sooner, the first beta ships unsigned, with a published SHA-256 checksum so you can verify the file matches the official release.

Is the beta safe to install?

This is early beta software provided for testing, not production use. We publish the version, file name, and checksum so you can confirm you have the official file. Only install it if you intentionally obtained it from the official AIGIS release after approval and verified the checksum. It is not signed, notarized, or certified.

Why use GitHub Releases?

At open beta, GitHub Releases hosts the installer, release history, checksum files, and issue reporting, which improves release transparency. It does not replace code signing, and the first beta remains an unsigned beta.

Will there be a Mac version?

A Mac build is planned after the signing and notarization path is ready. AIGIS does not currently provide an unsigned Mac beta download.

Will updates be automatic?

Not during beta. Updates are manual for now. An update flow is on the later release-maturity roadmap.

Can I share the installer?

Share the official page or release link rather than re-uploading the installer. Re-uploaded copies break checksum trust and are exactly the kind of unofficial mirror we ask testers to avoid.
